Welcome Hank!

 

Love at first sight!

Excitement filled the air as we arrived in the bay area.  Not only would we be spending time with Sarah, Joey, James and Emma, we'd soon be welcoming a new member to the family.  Sarah's due date was late February, but both James and Emma were born a few days before their due dates.  We were expecting the same for the new arrival.  At this point we knew it was a boy, but Sarah and Joey had kept us guessing on the name.  

We were able to enjoy some time with Sarah, Joey, James and Emma prior to the new arrival, but in keeping with tradition, baby #3 was also an early arrival.

We enjoyed a hike on the Tennessee Valley Trail.  I think Sarah was trying to get some action going on her labor.......it didn't work!

In the pre-dawn hours of February 22 Hank arrived!  

For James and Emma it was as if it was Christmas in February and what a gift!  A healthy baby brother and mom doing exceptionally well also!

Suddenly there were five!

We're so thankful that the birth was uneventful for both Sarah and Hank.  The smiles on their faces when they finally got to meet him later that morning were priceless.

We were thrilled to be able to stay nearby for a couple of weeks and help out where we could. It was fun to watch a loving family of four transform before our eyes into a loving family of five.
