The calm before the .........

It's Wednesday evening just after sunset.  Hurricane Irma has grown into a huge Category 5 storm. It seems to have it's sights set on Florida.  Because of its size and strength along with images from Hurricane Harvey everyone is taking this very seriously.  We have an evacuation plan if we need to use it (thanks Cindy & Drew).  We'll know more in the next 24 hours as it gets closer to the U.S.
Beth, NaNa and I enjoyed dinner on the Anna Maria City Pier.   Construction on the pier began in 1911. It's taken a few hits from hurricanes in the past and has survived. While no one knows what's in store for it over the next five days, I'm confident it will survive again. After eating we took up our usual spot for sunset. The gulf was erriely calm. As calm as we've ever seen it.  However it looks like a change in the weather is on the way!

So calm I could walk on water....almost!
