We flew out of Vegas very early Sunday morning. It was so early that I’m sure the parties were still going strong. Our destination was a familiar and fun one. We were heading for the California Bay Area to spend 8 days with Sarah, Joey, James and Emma. We were bringing along a n extra treat with us. Ben was able to get a couple of extra days off so he was able to join us for two days.
James and Emma love their Fun-cle Ben so much. Their faces lit up when we rolled down the car window to show them the surprise in the backseat. Sarah knows her brother pretty well and had a sneaking suspicion he might show up.
It was a great couple of days with everyone together, and we enjoyed the time tremendously. We hadn’t seen James or Emma since February and as the saying goes’ “they’re growing like weeds”! James is finishing first grade next week and Emma is enjoying her preschool and is quite the talker.
We really didn’t do anything special, but every moment was special!
