We're a few days into year two of this retirement thing and there's some very exciting things that are in the planning stages. I'm not going to go into any detail yet but the fall is shaping up to be quite interesting!
Over the next week I'm going to be doing a couple of Peer Reviews at some of our hospitals. These are going to take me to the Orlando area, Northern Georgia and then Kentucky. Beth will not be with me for the Orlando or Georgia part but will be with me in Kentucky next week.
We've never spent much time in the Blue Grass state so it'll be fun to explore a little of it before my work in Manchester. Luckily we'll be flying into Louisville which gives us a chance to visit a bit with our niece Kimberly (aka: Fish). From Louisville we'll head to Cumberland Falls State Park for two nights. This should give Beth a nice place to stay while I'm working.

From Kentucky it will be on to Northern California. We'll be staying two nights in Monterey and then two nights in San Francisco. To do our part to keep the cruise industry afloat we'll be leaving San Francisco on the Norwegian Sun for a two week cruise to Alaska. The cruise ends in Vancouver but before heading back to the Sunshine State, where the summer heat and humidity will be kicking into high gear, we'll do a few weeks driving around some of Western Canada.. This will take us from British Columbia to Alberta through the cool, rugged Canadian Rockies.
